Programming for the residential Fellowship consists of a two-part program delivery for cohorts of up to 25 women. The first consists of a four-day in-person residential component in July which brings Fellows together. Curriculum includes sessions focusing on individual strengths and strengths-based leadership, communication styles, professional networking and narrative storytelling. The second component is an online learning community, which is hosted by MFRI staff throughout the remainder of the academic year. Through the online community, fellows continue networking and support their peers as they work to reach academic and professional goals. Industry-experts facilitate workshops pertaining to topics such as educational benefits, financial advising, and professional resources. Tips and strategies to further support the fellows are shared and discussions led by MFRI staff throughout the duration of the online community.
Virtual Fellows receive the same information and training as residential Fellows, but in an online format. The virtual Fellowship begins with a four-day online program in June for cohorts of up to 20 women. After the four-day program, virtual Fellows continue to gather in an online community throughout the subsequent year, just as residential Fellows do.
